Dr. Uel E. Clear - Age: 93, June 21, 1921 - April 21, 2015

Dr. Uel E. Clear, 93, of Windsor, Missouri, formerly of Warrensburg, Missouri, died Tuesday, April 21, at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton, Missouri.

He was born June 21, 1921, in Warrensburg, the son of Robert L. and Emma (Thompson) Clear.

He was united in marriage to Bernetta Koontz on Dec. 13, 1941, in Warrensburg. She preceded him in death.

Dr. Clear was raised in the rural Warrensburg area. After graduating high school, he joined the U.S. Army, serving in World War II and was a decorated veteran. Dr. Clear finished his education in chiropractic medicine and began his career treating patients in Warrensburg, Windsor, Leeton and Cole Camp. His practice grew for more than 50 years with people driving from Benton, Cass, Henry, Jackson, Johnson, Lafayette and Pettis counties. To his many patients, Dr. Clear was a calm, honest, humble, strong, trustworthy, unassuming man who never forgot his patients’ names. He was referred by many as a dear friend who was respected and admired.

Dr. Clear is survived by one son, Bob Clear, of Griffin, Georgia; one daughter, Connie Daniels, of Elwood, Kansas; six grandchildren, including his “partner” Nate; 16 great-grandchildren, including his “hot shot” Christian, nieces, nephews, family, friends and patients.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; five sisters, Ada Clear, Minerva Coleman, Ruth Chamberlain, Pearl O’Brien and twin sister, Nadyne Baird; and five brothers, Edgar, Curtis, Alfred, Roy and Charlie Clear.

A “Celebration of Life” for Dr. Clear will be held at a later date.
